What did you do this week? Β Tell me in the comments or post a link.
I’m so impressed by that new bag you’re making…
Needle point, fancy. Check out this amazing embroidery maricormaricar.com/#illustration.html I have gotten a little crafty in my old age and I have to say, as I sit here crocheting old plastic bags into a tote, there is a big time Nana vibe. Have a great week, I can’t wait to hear about it.
Wow your week was action packed. I’m so glad I read The Long Firm just before we left, otherwise I would have had no idea what you where talking about. But i could totally picture it π sorry i missed it.
strangely enough Paloma was reading The Golden Compass when we were staying at yours that summer. Love EKC
This week i did a show in a lovely old theatre in Westcliff-on-Sea, with the inexplicable attendance of 1,500; the next night, less excitingly, in Barking. (I cooked delicious frittata [sic], travel-friendly food for the afore-mentioned gigs)…Then i did a show at The Lyric, also gorgeous olde worlde, improvising with a group called The Horne Section; the night after that i did another Real Fancy venue corporate thingy for the Lord Mayor, a pet charity, where someone ate my food when i wasn’t looking and apres-show beverages were NOT supplied. For this show i had to make up a new act, an early 60’s theme a la The Long Firm Ruby-esque character: wore my first ever false eyelashes and nearly crippled myself in a record 10 solid minutes of high-horrid-heel-wearing. But it was fun and i used Mick Harvey music and French 60s tracks from Blow Up. Last night i was allowed to spend with my husband and we cooked seasbass with our own yummy version of tapenade; shared a cider and watched True Grit – loved it, cos how could one not? I am reading Fay by Larry Brown, as well as the third one in the Phillip Pullman trilogy which i think is called His Dark Materials (i recommend for Paloma!). It’s been a busy week! Thanks for the octopus recipe and happy sailing, Love K XXX
