*We fixed Ondine and she was ready to sail again. YAY!
*We sailed to Bequia. It was an unpleasant ride for me. The trip back the other way is said to be way worse, I’m braking out the patches for that.
*We anchored in the dark. Something we used to avoid at all costs. It’s still scary, but now we do it.
*We sailed to the beautiful Tabago Cays.
*We swam with turtles and rays.
*We had lobster on the beach made by Mr Wonderful. Mr wonderful turned out to be not so wonderful, he promised to do bunch of stuff for us then completely disappeared.
*I got a trim boat style.
*We watched all the Star Wars episodes in episode order. The Empire Strikes Back is still my favorite. We keep quoting Yoda to the poor kids “ No. Try not. Do… or do not. There is no try.”

Listened to news about Japan. And Libya. And Bahrain. Pulled overcoat from the back of the clothes rack, frowning. Learned how to walk two crazy dogs simultaneously without being wrapped in leads as they run circles around me. (They really do that!) Picked cherry tomatoes from triffid-size plant. Wondered a lot about the best ways to run a company, cos the company I’m working for is making its staff miserable. Finished Franzen’s Freedom, which I loved. x (Sorry, put this on your FB page. Just saw you want it here.)
And re your wonderful photos: that beach! That food! Amazing.
James, nice that you got the boat back to normal. The photos you guys take are really cool by the way. Since you asked re what’s going on here: this week I joined two squash clubs, I put in a bid to buy an apartment on the street where I currently lease (a very similar apartment), prepared my list of things to bring on the sailing trip (29 necessities, 9 optional items, so far) and prepared a list of things I want to throw away when I move apartments (your story inspired me). Tomorrow I drive to Boston with Puchkoff to spend the weekend learning how to stay alive at sea; and save the lives of others if necessary. When back in New York I go straight to West Marine to buy the stuff on my list I don’t already have. And will finish reading Sailing for Dummies. So basically, not nearly as much fun as you are having. I would rather pack it all in and just go sailing (like a dummy). Looking very forward to seeing you in Bermuda in 6 weeks. Keep well. regards, Brett
