This week:
*We spent a rainy day in Istanbul
*We flew to New York
*Ronan went right back to school at PS150. Getting Paloma into middle school is a little more work.
*We lost a friend to cancer. He was 49, with two girls the same age as Paloma and Ronan and he was an awesome person. Cancer sucks.
How was your week? Put your week in the comments, we love hearing from you.
I’m wondering to whom I suggested going to Istanbul, visiting the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace! I’m impressed that you’ve now been there. I would imagine that Ronan is wondering what happened in his life..only a few weeks ago he was in a distant part of the world.. now back to the regimen of attending school daily. NYC I’m not personally familiar with, having been there once overnight, way back in 1978 !
I turned 58 last Tuesday. The weather here in Brisbane is stormy. This morning about 5am, lightning, thunder and rain – currently bright and glarey, warm and sunny. Enjoy your week.
I spent the week over dans cooking and cleaning and trying my hand at 2 risotto dishes ( meaning dans freezer has extra meals for him as well) one without any more 1 1/2 tables of oil and sweet potato and sage lovely except I got distracted and poured all the stock into the rice at the same time so apart from overcooking it worked out nice. the Second was Mushroom rissoto with leek and Mushroom and a nice thick slice of Parmesan cheese grated in it and not much oil, so it lasted 2 meals for 1 and a half cups of rice . Lucy slept most of the week except when for a while she started biting me first thing in the morning but she appears to have gotten over that which is better. Matt,
I hope you bouyancy continues for a long time ( time away and all that)
