This week on Board:
*We sailed through the Corinth Canal to the Aegean.
*We took thermal baths in Loutra on the island of Kythnos.
*We felt the power of the Meltemi. Even losing some clothes to it, oops.
*We dropped off Lisa and Dave in AntiParos, where they spent their honeymoon 11 years ago. (ahhh)
* We picked up Steve, Sarah, Lousia and Alex. Paloma and Ronan are in kids our own age heaven.
*We ate a lot of good food.
* We did a lot of swimming.
What did you do this week? Put your week in the comments, we love hearing from you!
hi
So great to hear Steve and Sarah and kids are onboard. I can almost smell the sweet warm salty air and the bbq’g of fresh caught fish on the grill.
What did we do this week? Melise went to an Angeles baseball camp today with her camp. The Angeles beat the Texas Rangers 1-0.
Destin played at Iverbe sports camp – that never stops doing sports. In the mornings he does morning assembly when the counselors do some very funny things – like call up kids and they put a ball on a cone – and the kid gets the ball and runs around the whole entire basketball court and they automatically bring the softball back and put it back on the cone. They also had a pie eating contest this week. Who ever’s nice and doesn’t ask for a ‘highlight’ (a airhead). Bye bye, see you Uncle James in about a couples weeks.
Paul has been in Jackson Hole and Aspen riding horses and attending “conferences” – which is a lot of schmoozing and socializing. He should be quite fit from hikes, etc when he gets back tomorrow.
we love you.
Looks like so much fun, tricky sailing thru the straights ? Makes for a great picture. The children look awesome, loved the picture of Ronan and James playing the same game we played as kids. Loved it.
Not much to report on this side of the world, terrible weather, we have had about 3.5 days of sun this summer and the rest has been rain and cloud with a chance of rain and more clouds. …. Nick.
Two rudders even!
We had such a wonderful time with you guys!
You are all such great hosts. I loved hanging out on the back of the boat in the evenings, swimming off the boat, and eating, and drinking and swimming at the beautiful beaches and listening to the little ones yammering away. Should I have Louisa and Alex post under “guests”, or added to this e-mail?
Love,
Sarah
Lovely. Lovely. and more lovely…
What a wonderful week that was. The Corinth Canal looks amazing. This must mean you have a rudder again.
